I'd been for a run. I don't think it was a bad one either. It was the last run I did. I told myself I wasn't going to do a write a new post until I'd been for a run but I haven't and I thought I'd better say hello.
The reason for my thorough lack of exercise on my feet or on my fixie has been the arrival of this little man. Meet George Caleb.
2 and a half weeks old now and showing no signs of letting his mummy and daddy have 5 mins to themselves, he obviously wants a fat, cuddly daddy who gives lots of hugs rather than a fit healthy daddy that is dripping with sweat.
This is great in some ways but at the moment, if I do have 45mins or an hour spare, I'd rather catch up on some sleep than wake my body up. I do intend to go for a bit of a leg stretch this weekend though. Now I'm back at work, I do owe it to myself before my stress levels begin to rise again!
Anyway, I'll leave you with a couple of other pics of our little bundle of joy. Enjoy!

Congrats! Very sweet. I'm doing as much running as I can before our little one arrives, culminating in my first ever half marathon in Sept. Eep!
ReplyDeleteGood luck for both the HM and the safe arrival of the little one. Use anytime you have now as you won't have any soon. Everyone said how much of my time he would take up and I knew he would but I still wasn't quite prepared for HOW MUCH time he takes up. As I said, get running now!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. Good luck for all 3 of you
ReplyDeleteRunning is definitely less important than sleep. It is only when you have a baby that you really understand the importance of continuous sleep.
Things ease out though and you will soon be back.
keep blogging anyway
It wont be long before he is faster than his old man you know!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the little one buddy! You want to try and get a few runs in before the weather turns and it becomes a real effort to get outdoors!
Congratulations! You should buy one of those pouches and bring him out running with you...(as you can guess, I am obviously a clueless non-father). Best of luck to you all.
ReplyDeleteHuge congrats, he's a cutie!
ReplyDeleteHow cute is he?! As others have said, running isn't so important right now, you'll have plenty of time for that later on. Do you find you spend more time/most of your time/all of your time talking about sleep (lack of) and poo (huge amounts of) these days?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the cuddles.
Congratulations! He's absolutely gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments everyone.
ReplyDeleteAnd Adele. Yes absolutely. Amount, colour and consistency of poo. Amount, how interrupted and whether in the same room for sleep and also whether myself and LG are ever going to get through a meal together again!
Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteRabbit picture is perfect to show would-be girlfriends in the future...
Aw, congratulations. Well done you and Mrs HMC. :-)
