Juneathon. Day 13. Achey legs have arrived

Yep another day of the 5.14km running route and a distinctly noticeable tightness in the calves and ankles has appeared. Possibly through lack of stretching so I just did a big stretch session then so hopefully they'll be fine on the march to the half way point. Nearly there!

This was my 6th attempt at this route and only the 3rd time I've scraped under the 26min barrier and as it was, it was only 4 seconds under!!!

The beer, BBQ and football were all good and I didn't at all feel guilty seeing hotshoeshuffle out on her run when I arrived at my friends loaded with beer and various meat products. At that point I was delighted I'd got the bike ride done and dusted in the morning!

Right I need to make a quiche and get the BBQ ready for today's chargrilled food offering!

  1. Well done mate. This time last year you'd resigned yourself to not competing over a week ago. Welcome to the Pain Club... sore calves are compulsory!
