I got up and ran early today in order to get it out the way and give my legs the maximum rest time before tomorrow's Juneathon task of cycling to Brighton. Why o why did I agree to that!
I had a lay in this morning so didn't head out til 7.30am but what a beautiful morning it is. Warm, sunny and with a slight breeze. My usual route this morning and what was meant to be a slow jog to stretch out the legs turned out to be the second quickest time I've run this June. Oops. The problem was I noticed my time half way round and realised I was around 30 seconds up on yesterday's effort so I had to give it a go! 25:23 is none too shabby for me. Under that 5 m/k (8 m/m) benchmark anyway.

Why, o why? Because it's foolish and daft. And it'll be ace. Good luck.
